The City of Wayne Police Department encourages all citizens to become involved in the fight against crime. Information regarding criminal activity or information regarding an unsolved crime can be reported to the Wayne Police Department by calling 734-721-1414 or by using our online contact form. Help Eliminate Auto Theft (HEAT) is Michigan's statewide auto theft prevention program that coordinates citizen action with lawHeat Help Eliminate Auto Thefts enforcement agencies through a confidential toll-free tip line for reporting information on stolen vehicles, chop shops, and suspected auto theft activities including insurance fraud, identity theft, and carjackings. Crime Stoppers Speak Up!

Crimestoppers of Southeast Michigan firmly believes in creating safe neighborhoods in our area bSpeak Up Club Crime Stoppers Michigany empowering citizens to help in the fight against crime. This is done by publicizing crimes that need solving and broadcasting information about dangerous fugitives so that citizens can provide information anonymously and receive a reward of up to $1000 if there's an arrest based on their information. In 2006, more than 1700 tips were received from all areas of Southeastern Michigan and over $50,000 were paid in rewards leading to arrests and closed cases.
